Even if you do have a mortgage, doesn't the llc provide SOME privacy? at least your name might not appear at your address on the internet places like zabasearch. i guess if someone like a P.I. really wanted to he could find out. but wouldn't you at least force some psycho have to make the extra (and financial investment) step of hiring a detective?

Actually, with a good down payment and by paying a bit extra in interest, you can get a mortage from at least some banks without revealing your true identity at all. But why be a slave to the lender? Renting has advantages over buying, if the buying is on credit.
