Phone on Internet

VOIP phone. Just to share some information to perhaps help others.

I recently purchased a NetTalk device for using a standard touch tone phone using the Internet. Cell phone service in my home is poor, but I do have high speed Internet service (required for device). NetTalk unlike MagicJack has tech support you can talk to.

I ordered the device from Wal-Mart, (on-line is only way to order). Requesting delivery to the local store and checked to pay with cash. You have two days to go to store and pay or order is cancelled. You do need to provide a valid e-mail address ands will be asked for ID when picking up the unit.

When the device is activated with NetTalk you discover they want (require) an address for the E 911 service. Also, your e-mail for optional voice mail notices.

Unit is working fine after two issues resolved using the very good tech support (I got the new WiFi device - software problem and an update to the firmware).

Phone is working fine, like the e-mail notice for voice mail calls, and looking forward to traveling with the phone, since only a high speed Internet connection is required.
