Really? A NAVY SEAL doesn't know how to publish a book anonymously?! This guys' family is in big trouble.
I am shocked, SHOCKED that US Government intelligence agents have been denied access to HTBI. They - like every LEO candidate training in every P.O.S.T Academy in this country - ought to have HTBI principles drilled into them.

I suspect that he revealed his true name to either his agent or his publisher. One that happens (regardless of promises to the contrary), an author's privacy is lost forever.

Or perhaps someone got the cell phone number of his editor, figured out the author's number, pinged that phone to find out where it was at night, and discovered who lived there.
There are many other ways too, but I would have assumed a SEAL knew them all. So, like Captain Renault in Casablanca, I too am "shocked."
